Pennie Beane is one of the franchise owners and a travel specialist in the the travel industry. She graduated from the University of Missouri and taught Communication Arts in the Park Hill School District for 26 years. She is an avid Tigers fan, as well as, a Kansas City Chiefs, Sporting KC, and KC Royals fan. Pennie is a member of Platte Woods United Methodist Church, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, a member of the Harvest Ball Society, and on the board of directors for the KC Symphony Guild.
Pennie and her husband David (also a franchise owner) have lived in the Kansas City area most of their lives. They have two sons, Casey and Tyler, a daughter-in-law, Shannon (who works with them in the business), two darling grandsons, Mason and Dawson, and our newest addition to the family, Baby Whitney.
Pennie loves to travel and her favorite vacations are those spent with family and friends. Some of her favorite memories are: Christmas aboard a ship headed to the Caribbean and Christmas Day in Jost Van Dyke (an island in the Caribbean), a family vacation in Hawaii, a getaway to the Cayman Islands, visits to Greece, Turkey, France, Spain, Italy on a Mediterranean cruise, and annual trips to Vail or Breckenridge, Colorado with close friends.
Pennie specializes in cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and travel anywhere in the world and the United States. Her passion is her strong commitment to help her customers plan a fabulous vacation. She adds her personal touch to each client's booking and prides herself in exceeding her clients' expectations.
David Beane, franchise co-owner along with wife Pennie, almost qualifies as a life-long Kansas Citian, having lived in the Northland since age 12. He is a graduate of Park Hill High School and went on to graduate from Missouri Western State after proudly serving in the United States Navy. David and Pennie have two sons, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons, and one granddaughter.
David is very excited to bring his sincere style of professional, but personalized, customer service and support to KC Cruise and Travel Group’s customers. That style has been tested and proven by his years of experience in sales and account management in the fields of employee benefits, technology training, and placement. He enjoys the excitement of his clients as they learn the many options available that allow them to fulfill their travel wishes and desires. He is eager to help clients with travel of all kinds -cruises, land tours, all-inclusive resort getaways, or combinations as requested!
David has historically favored warmer weather destinations that provide the magical combinations that come from white sandy beaches, warm waters, and the many activities associated with these settings. However, in the last few years the lure of all things cold such as skiing, snowmobiling, and snow tubing in Vail and Breckenridge has introduced a lot of competition for the previously uncontested favorites, Hawaii, St. Thomas, Grand Cayman, Rome, Turkey, Montenegro, Italy, France, and Greece. . He is also looking forward to introducing many new contenders to the mix in the near future!
David’s overall objective, simply stated, is to put all his effort into his work, therefore, exceeding his clients’ expectations.
Shannon Beane is a Travel Specialist for KC Cruise and Travel Group. She graduated with her bachelor's degree from Northwest Missouri State University, and went on to receive her master's degree at Avila University.
Shannon has been married to her husband, Casey, for 10 years. Together, they have two handsome and energetic little boys, Mason and Dawson, and a precious baby girl, Whitney. Shannon loves to travel with her family, and while she specializes in nearly every type of travel available, she considers herself a real asset to her clients who are wanting to travel with their families.
Shannon loves to play sports with her family, spend time at the lake, and she is a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals.
Some of Shannon's favorite travel experiences were her trips to the US Virgin Islands and Kauai. "I loved snorkeling and parasailing in the beautiful waters of St. Thomas and St. John's. And there is nothing cooler than sailing the Napali coast in Kauai where you can watch the sun set and see where tons of movies have been filmed, all while enjoying authentic Hawaiian food and sipping a cold Mai Tai on a catamaran."
Shannon used to teach and loves working with kids. She has also has extensive experience in the customer service industry. She is anxious to plan your next trip and exceed your expectations!
